St Mark's Mums and Chums

St Mark’s Mums and Chums is a meeting place for babies, pre-school children and the people who care for them. We have Mothers, grannies, child minders and the occasional father or grandfather. We are open to everyone, not just to parishioners. The group has been running for nearly thirty years. We aim to provide a relaxing, if rather noisy, atmosphere within a safe setting where you and your children can make friends, chat and play.

We meet in the Heyn Hall every Wednesday during term time, from 10-15am to 12 noon. We have a wide selection of toys including, slides, ride on cars, a trampoline, a play house and kitchen and lots of table top toys.

Programme

Children are free to choose from the range of activities provided.

From 10-15 am registration

11-00 refreshments

11-40 tidy up time. We appreciate it if everyone helps with the tidying up.

11-45 singing and rhyme time.

Registration and contributions

Each family group is asked to contribute £1 each week they attend. This is to meet the cost of refreshments and to help purchase new toys and craft equipment.

Refreshments

Tea, coffee, water, bread, biscuits and fruit are available each week. (We have cake for the Mums!)

Supervision

Each parent/ carer must look after and be responsible for their child/children during the session.

Mums and Chums is run by volunteers from the Parish.
